Materials: sterling silver, 18K plated sterling (Vermeil), and anodized niobium. These colorful patterns are created by masking off sections of the pieces and treating them with electrical currents. Different colors are achieved by controlling the voltage, and the artist removes areas of the masking as desired colors and patterns appear. This color phenomenon is often found in nature, whether in the colors of a soap bubble or a bird’s iridescent feather. The colors are permanent, simply use glass cleaner to keep them bright. Earwires are sterling silver plated with 18K gold, left sterling where they rest in the ear.
